SO good. i watched it because i was around someone who was, and was totally skeptical of not liking it at all but i like it enough now to download the seasons on my own. nod buy them if you have the money, but getting the box sets from netflix or something would be cool too.

1. Yes
2. No just on principle. $100 bucks is way too much for a season of ANY show. HBO has too high of opinion of them.
Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.

I absolutely loved this show.

I agree with everyone else on the thread, though...renting the series is better than buying it.

Every so often I go back and rent certain episodes because they're even good to watch on their own.

Damn brother I know HBO shows are expensive at times but thats WAY too much...I managed to get all of them except Season 7 (technically season 6 part 2 but Season 6 had an ending so i class it as a new season razz) for like $25 - $30 each! (Australian) Luckily they were on special so I just had to get them all lol

OK a quick scan of Amazon and Ebay states you can now get them for $40 or less per season. That's not too bad. The retail is $99.99 though, it just seems they have come down recently.

Here in the Netherlands the box-set (all 6 seasons) costs about 150 euros.

without wanting to spoil the show for you Gray, it was one of the most original shows on american tv.
several episodes are standouts
The Pine Barrens, (the previously post you tube clip) is one of them.

The time when Bobby Baccala's dad has to come out of retirement to do a hit is another.

The episode where Janice deals with Jackie Aprile is another

Most of Pauly Walnuts episodes..

The Adrienne episode from the next to last season..

and on...and on..

Pine Barrens (series 3) is probably one of the best episodes ever. Directed by Steve Buscemi, this episode portrays everything this show was about: the well-written characters, the language, the comedy, the drama and the tragedy. It was also an indicator of the fact that the Soprano mob-effort was a trainwreck waiting to happen!

Classic stuff, I miss this show so much!

Pine Barrens in one of those stand alone episodes that you could watch entirely out of context and not feel like you've missed much, if anything at all. I think that David Chase specifically wrote it that way.

Definitely one of many excellent episodes.

GREAT show. thumbs up! Especially any scene where Tony and Carmella went at it was classic. I miss it. Say what you want about HBO but there was a time from the late 90s to early 00s where MOST of the shows I watched weekly were on HBO. They were in a zone for awhile there. I miss it. sigh

nod and it kept fans wondering for the next 3 seasons whether the Russian would return for vengeance or not.....
In a way it was a stand alone episode, but this episode also served its purpose to the series....it completely exposed how dysfunctional Tony's family-life is, but also his crew.
