On Tuesday night, a computer glitch caused the Marathon station on Kenwood Road to sell gas for $1.40 instead of $4.10.

Traffic backed up along the road for about three hours.

A clerk was unable to reach the store manager and continued selling gas at the wrong price for about three hours, until a Hamilton County sheriff's deputy urged him to close the station to ease traffic.

"The owner was upset, but she knows it was a glitch and that things happen," employee Candice Mobley said Wednesday.

It wasn't clear how much gas was sold during those three hours. <<<<

why so. it's his job to sell gas and keep the station open, I can't find a reason why it was his fault that the computer (or the person who did the input) fucked up.
