The NBA will never have passion again like this..

Looking at this picture just reminds me of why I so Loved to watch MJ play & why I just can't like Kobe Bryant. Jordan had the Ultimate passion to Win...Kobe just wants to be the man that can Win without Shaq. lol

..and who can forget this poster shot. Perfection caught on camera.

MJ was the greatest, but I STILL don't understand this hatred of Kobe. Just doesn't make sense to me.

To me, Wilt was the GOAT, but there's no denying Jordan's greatness(although he was one of the biggest crybabies I ever saw on the court. Whined more than Oscar Robertson).

Most of the Hatred stems from the way Kobe treated Shaq. It's like he didn't enjoy winning with him...he wanted to win WITHOUT him. Even Jordan had Scottie Pippen. He never tried to run Scottie out of Chicago! lol

As a Lakers fan, and a passionate one at that, I think that, in the modern era, it's hard to top the Lakers-Celtics Finals battles of the 80's. Game 7, 1984. Games 1 and 6, 1985. Game 4, 1987.

And also as a Lakers fan, there is no dispute in my mind that, for his distinguished career, for his accolades and rings and future retired number and HOF induction, Kobe Bryant is not in Jordan's class. MJ is in a class by himself. MJ never lost a 3-1 series lead. And MJ always took over in the clutch when it mattered most. Not sometimes. Or often. Always.

That question has been settled.

Well, the more apt comparison would be Pip trying to get Jordan out of Chicago.

And in Kobe's defense, he doesn't deserve all the blame for that.

But people have HATED Kobe before Shaq went to LA, pretty much from his first year in the league. I just don't get it.

From what I remember it was from people who thought that Kobe was trying very hard to imitate MJ. Which is understandable...MJ was the King. lol

But it really got bad when he started running his mouth about Shaq sleeping with other women after he got caught up in Utah.... Nobody likes a snitch... confused

Don't forget the battles between the Celtics/Sixers, Lakers/Sixers, Celtics/Pistons & Lakers/Pistons. The basketball played during that era was at such a high level. That was the NBA's Golden Era(even though my Knicks sucked for most of the decade). The level of play hasn't been the same since.

it's hard to pinpoint, but he's so smug & arrogant. From the moment he joined the league I didn't like him.

Kobe has an 'air' about himself.. and i said that back in 2000.. he wants to be the 'star'... it's not about a team effort with him... he wants it to be a one-man show... HIM .... Kobe and his 81 points.. didnt get him a ring..

yeah Michael never seemed selfish to me. Maybe conceited & phony, but not selfish on the court. He did what it took to win.

And for Kobe to stant out among NBA players as conceited & arrogant is quite a feat!

i saw an interview with Shaq.. and Shaq said.. when it was time for the players to all go out onto the floor of the stadium.. they would all leave together (Shaq included) and the crowd would be riled up to see them come on the court.... he said Kobe would not walk out with them.. he deliberately would stay in the locker room so he could come out last...and be walking out by himself... Shaq said he would just shake his head ..

The hatred for Kobe stems from the fact that he is the most disgustingly self-obsessed, arrogant prick the game has ever seen. The way that he has treated his teammates and coaches throughout the years tells me all that I need to know about him. It's a shame that all of that talent had to go to such a terrible person.

Michael Jordan is as much of a smug, arrogant, bitch-ass punk as Kobe Bryant. Difference is, Michael cultivated a phony, public image, which fans & media types fell for. Jordan was rough, sometimes downright nasty to his teamates(he punched out Steve Kerr). Not to mention his gambling and womanizing. So let's temper the hate on Kobe. Jordan's fake too.
