4. Cinderella (1977) It was a Skinemax flick I used to sneak and watch when I was a kid. redface I'm appropriately ashamed, but the smut was the least interesting part, actually. It was really funny and it had great music! nod5. Galaxina

Is this the one with the corn cob? lol

this reminds me, i'd really love to find the film CHATTERBOX - it used to be a skinemax standard, and it was about a woman with a talking hoo-hoo. i'm guessing it would make my list if i ever got a chance to finally watch it. biggrin

2. Which Way is Up? -- Richard had me in stitches. He even did his "run" at the end. falloff

3. Eddie and the Cruisers II: Eddie Lives!

4. Turk 182 -- Zimmerman flew, and Tyler knew!

5. King of Comedy -- I still don't think I've yet grasped this movie's meanings. Which is to say, I'm hooked. disbelief

i love this movie too, but i think it's a very GOOD movie. i think it's about people who are delusional regarding fame, and that's not just with regards to rupert pupkin and sandy b's characters. jerry lewis' character is kinda delusional in the opposite direction, because he's famous and miserable, but he's the ideal that these two insane comedians want to attain and he has a fake persona that makes it look like a perfect life. or something like that.

And, when George came back with Zorro the Gay Blade (a cinematic masterpiece, IMO), I couldn't believe how awesome it was.

To this day, "here I am!" can reduce me to laughing fits.

What I liked was the silliness of it, but in retrospect, that movie had some commentary going on.

i should at least order "zorro the gay blade". i was trying to explain the significance of lauren hutton to my bf the other day, and this would be as good a teaching aid as i'm bound to find. smile

or wait, was she in "love at first bite" instead? or was she in both? lol

PASS THE AMMO

this falls in that weird category of "bad movie with really good performances" - tim curry and annie potts are HILARIOUS in this movie...in fact, i'd put this second to "rocky horror" as tim curry's funniest film role...and it's a really cute story, but the production is kinda z-grade and chintzy so technically it could be considered a good movie doomed to be bad. but i love it. shrug

There was one particularly bad one, and when I think
of the name, I'll let ya know...all I remember is I walked
out before it was half over... neutral

And I've only done that twice.
