U were probably sick as a muthafucker when Utah got knocked out by the Lakers. "Nooooo!!...Anybody but the Lakers!!! Let it be the Spurs to beat Utah...but not that damn Kobe!"

My disapproval of Kobe, however, came LONG before the Lakers faced Utah in the playoffs, even back when the Jazz swept the Lakers in the WCF in the late 90s.

Maybe not, but they gave them a hell of a tough series this year. With its current roster, I can see the Jazz having a chance to beat the Lakers. They just need to play more consistent defense.

I just like to comment on KJ's joy after winning. When Michelle LaFoya asked Kevin a question after thew won, Kevin couldn't even talk. The cat just started crying, openly. For a few seconds, he was like a little kid. I remember seeing Jordan on the floor, crying after they won a title. I think that had a lot to do with him losing his father as well. Other than that, I've never seen anyone that emotional after winning the Finals. That's one reason Garnet is so well liked. Very passionate cat. Garnet is emotional when he's just doing a normal interview, so...But it was good to see somebody not acting like a robot. That was just raw emotion.

Lakers are no lock to win the west next season with so many solid teams in the conference. With a healthy Greg Oden, the young Blazers could make some noise.

Lakers need to get some tough MFers on that team - someone mentioned Ron Artest. If he can keep his head on straight, it could work.

I think Kobe would definately have to check the way he talks to his teammates because if he came at Artest sideways, Kobe's ass would end up in the hospital. Getting some hard hitting cats, which is definately what the Lakers need, Kobe is going to have to do an attitude adjustment. After LA lost to Boston in 1984, they added bruisers like Mitch Kupchak and Mychal Thompson to deal with the Celtics' physical play. They definitely need those Charles Oakley type cats to do the dirty work.
