It's something about New York...I guess it's hard to do anything in private with so many people. On Monday my friend & I were in the park and she was telling me about how last year that happened to her at least 3 times. It came up b/c on Monday, this dude walked over near where we were and was sitting against a tree looking at us for a long time, we both kept giving him the evil eye and he finally left. She was saying how there are all sorts of pervy guys that just walk around the park, gawking at girls and jacking off; so to be careful about not going to parts that are too secluded. I picked a spot that had another girl and some gay guys on the other side, but unfortunately after creepster sat down they eventually all packed up and left. But there was still a homeless dude sleeping on the other side of my little cliff, a couple making out on the other side of creepster, and a girl behind me about 25 feet.

Luckily my friend had sort of warned me, otherwise I may not have really paid as much attention until it was way too late.

I have a story to share....

I was at the beach, (across the street from my home) and I was laying there enjoying the sunshine with my kids. This old guy walks up behind me and lays his towel down like 20ft away.
I notice him remove his shirt with one arm, his left arm is down looks like his hand is in his crotch, but his right side is facing me so I can't see exactly what he is doing. He is doing this for at least five minutes, I turned and saw his left arm jerking slightly,

I said... "What the hell do you think you are doing?! Can't you see my kids can see you?"

He replied... "Can you help me?"

Just then I noticed that his arm was jerking because he couldn't move it.... he was a stroke victim, and still partially paralyzed on his left side.

I felt like such a heel I quickly got up and helped the guy (finish helping him take off his shirt that was half way off him). Helped him to his car with his stuff later as well.

Ewwwww! Sorry that happened to you Joni. I have heard to many stories like this in NYC.If this happens to you again, snap a picture of him with your cell phone and call 911. I don't think there is a city service other than the NYPD that can handle creeps like these.
