Officially an "old mom" type person *sigh*

no no...I didn't (and won't EVER) buy a mini van *lol*

There's some kid's that live accross the street, I'd say they're 16-18 years old, and a pile of their friends that are driving me NUTS!

Slamming car doors at all hours, talking REALLY REALLY loudly at all hours, and now...setting off bottle rockets. I mean granted it's only a little after 9:30, but this is darn near outside my kiddo's bedroom window. And I love fireworks!

I want to not be living in the city. . .

oh yeah, and calling the cops is out of the question, the parents have a police scanner and warn the kids. They go in, the cops do a quick drive by, the kids come right back out and continue said behavior. I called about 5 years ago when I got fricken hit with a bottle rocket while getting into my car on the other side of my house. It was their dad out shooting them...at houses...with them. So I called the cops, fat lotta good that did.

Title typo!

do you own your house? do you have a block association? i've heard that even if you own a house, if you're consistently causing a nuisance to your neighbors, you can take steps to get them kicked out if they keep it up. if you have anything like a block association, you should find out when they meet or who is involved, and be in touch with them.

No block association or the like. My neighborhood looks a bit like/is a bit like Shawna's. Only smake downtown Cloquet. ( I live off of 2 of the main streets)

Went back out...tracked 'em down, they were in a nearby parking lot (I'm surrounded by 3 bank parking lots!). Watched 'em light one more off, told them it had better be the last one as it is now 10 o'clock and I have a little girl sleeping.

They appologized.

well, in the meantime, you'll want to stock up on your weapons arsenal with a good steak knife, a heavy leg of lamb, and a collection of barry mannilow's greatest hits. (it'll all make sense when you see the movie). lol

Try playing classical music (which I like) at a reasonable volume, so your baby can sleep but the teens can hear it. Saw this on TV, so I don't know if it'll work.

I have terrible neighbors, who work from their apartment. Our walls are thin & we (their surrounding neighbors) are subject to the hammering etc. 3 years now. After trying everything legal...calling security, management, NYPD, HPD, DOB and their finding "no evidence of a factory". (True only 'cause every time any of them come to investigate\inspect they ring the neighbors lobby bell & announce theirselves. On their way up to the 14th floor the neighbors hide the evidence.) I've resorted to playing loud music from 9am to 7pm. Most times it's just one song. lol It's meant to be torture. nod Now the noises are muffled & the hammering is very brief.
