I'm self absorbed, so all of my affection and spare thoughts are reserved for me. I love me often. I mean, a lot. I love me a lot. Because I'm self absorbed that way.

i think every person reading this who has not yet planted a tree in their lives should get their ass to a tree merchant, buy a tree, and plant that shit in their yard or wherever. like, NOW.

it's totally one of the most important things you'll ever do in your life, in a good way. it's totally like symbolic, yknow. nod

I was mildly annoyed by this and then thought of you.

I've planted 2 birch trees. One is not doing very well thanks to our water restrictions, I really should have planted natives sigh

You know how you wrote about coins shaken in a tin? Does that really work for dogs? My dog makes me think of you often biggrin He is such a lovely little soul.

One day you will get the time and inclination to do it again, plenty of time, so don't beat yourself up about it.

Bullshit makes great fertilizer. Apparently, so does dogshit if the thriving trees that we've planted all around our yards are to be believed.

There was Johnny Appleseed and then there's me-- HF Pecanseed, HF Pinecone and HF SomeFunnyLookingTreeThatGetsPinkPowderPuffyLookingThingiesOnItThisTimeOfYear.

I planted some 'mater plants and squash plants, too, so I'm reminded of the orger with the six 'mater plants.

The coins in a tin can work but it really depends on the dog. I find that a stern, deep voice works best when it comes to discipline. It's just always so difficult to be stern with a cute little dog.

tomato plants are good, but i don't know. a tree is like planting a sculpture, whereas a smaller plant is like putting a lava lamp into the earth. lava lamps are cool. i like lava lamps! but there's something about planting a tree. plus i've learned that people go "ooooh" if you tell them you've just planted a tree. i'm totally serious about this.
