With today being the day of the National General Mid Term Elections, I find myself in a most precarious position. On the one hand, I want to be an American who pays his taxes, contributes to the economy, and lives a clean life to provide for himself and his family. On the other hand, I stand before you today having been accused of being "un-American," "non-supportive of the President," and of all things...a "LIBERAL."

That's right folks, step right up, come see the person who is on the side of "Against us," as in "Either you are for us or against us and are our enemy." The President of the United States has spoken, and I am on the side of the "Evil Doers," since I do not support the President of the United States in just about anything he stands for, both foreign and domestic. Wow, I am a LIBERAL, non-supportive, un-American traitor who should be put out to pasture and smothered by the stench of the Neo Fascist Regime that has invaded American Politics since January 2001.

I do confess, I do indeed confess that I am a LIBERAL. I am so LIBERAL, that only two other people in this nation stand with me on the mountain to face our LIBERAL maker. I am so LIBERAL, that the late, great Tip O'neill comes to haunt me every night in my dreams, offering me a Bostonian drink for my efforts. I am so LIBERAL, that my two fellow travelers to the mountain, have asked me to stand up there first, since I am younger, not wiser mind you, but younger than them, so that when the winds of War with Saddam blow one more time, I may not fall off so easily.

My two mountain climbers, Senator Ted Kennedy and Former Vice President Walter Mondale...who should get elected in Minnesota to the United States Senate, replacing our departed mountain climber Paul Wellstone, have joined with me in standing alone facing the Hordes of Neo Fascism, and let me tell you folks something, it is a nasty Horde too.

Why am I so hated? Why would the Hordes of the Hun GW and his mighty sidekick John Ashcroft hate me so much...well, let me start here...

I believe in a woman's right to choose. I believe in a free market economy. I am for gun control. I believe in every aspect of the Brady Bill. I believe in Education, not a right wing education, but an education where Teachers are left alone to teach what is right, not what a few fanatics want taught. I believe in Teacher's being treated like human beings and not low priced baby sitters.

I believe in the Separation of Church and State at all costs. I believe that vouchers and privatization of the schools through religious intervention is wrong. I believe that the Church has no place in politics at any time. I believe in a strong State of Israel. I believe in the annihilation of the Arab Countries who would oppose the survival of Israel.

I believe in the Death Penalty. I believe in the Moshe Dyan theory of an eye for an eye, plus 1E...for every one of me, we take ten of you. I believe that the United States has no business flexing imperialistic muscle in nation building. I believe in an economy that is driven by a work force and not by fear of war home and abroad. I believe in the sanctity of the family, that each family has an inherent right to raise itself without some Neo Fascist breathing down their neck to teach some antiquated backwards value system that died when the Puritans came over in the 1600s.

I believe in Civil Liberties being left what they are, without a Neo Fascist Attorney General trying to find a terrorist under every bed, a Jew in ever corner, or a black man with a gun standing outside of a grocery store. I believe in the nudity. I believe that Lady Justice should be uncovered, not covered as Ashcroft and his Horde want her for fear that her BREASTS may show, perish the thought.

I believe in arts, sciences, Darwinism, the Space Shuttle, the Space Program, and anything else that can fundamentally shape the mind of a child in the positive. I believe that all men and women are created equal under the guise of the law, that the Constitution works on it's face, that there is nothing wrong with the verbiage in the Constitution as it stands today.

I believe in Free Speech for all people. We might not like what someone says, but they have the freedom to state it. I believe that no government has the inherent right to dummy down it's people when they protest peacefully a decision made by a sitting President who hates anything that does not resemble his feeble thoughts and programs.

I believe that Justice is not just a word, but a right of all people, no matter which color, race, religion, creed or background. I believe profiling is wrong. I believe that Corporate Scandals have ruined the American Dream.

I believe that we have returned to a system where the Bund is operational again and that is wrong. I believe that neighbors spying on neighbors is horrific and wrong. I believe that while everyone has the right to kill themselves by ingesting cigarettes, other people do indeed have an inherent right to make certain that they are protected from that second hand smoke. I believe that everyone has a right to gain prosperity, and yes, even lose it as well.

I believe in Fiscal responsibility and discipline. I believe that every Senior Citizen has the right to live comfortably, that Social Security is not a game or a tool that a President can invest a Stock Market in. I believe in a Senior Drug Plan. I believe in Investing in Communities, to make them secure, to make them flourish, to make them well. I believe in capping the immigration quota for the time being so that we can return to ourselves for some time and make our system sound once again without worrying about the placement of others into our mainstream, leaving them with virtually nothing to live on or for.

I believe in the Kyoto Treaty. I believe that every citizen in America should stand up against pollution of their water reserves, the air they breath, and the legacy that will be left for their children. I believe in the Everglades and their Preservation. I believe we must not, cannot and can never think of destroying the Alaskan Wildlife Preserve to dig for oil profits that will never benefit one American during his or her lifetime.

Finally, I believe in One America. An America where race means nothing, where religion means nothing, and where each and every person has the opportunity to rise and fall as they see fit without intervention from a Government that is bent on making their lives even harder than they are now.

Folks, my fellow mountain climbers and I may be alone, but we are proud of who we are, what we are, and why we are here to raise our voices over the dangerous masses that stand ready to attack us. The Founding Fathers of our nation foresaw a nation that was led by the people, for the people and without interference from any one mind or party. Since the year 2001 we have seen declines in Liberties, Speech, Personal wealth, education, women's rights, voting rights, increased segregation one more time of our people, profiling, and horrors that are unimaginable in a Constitutional sense.

It may take three people to stand on this mountain and speak with one voice. But, it is a voice of reason, a voice of alarm, a voice of protection. We must not allow ourselves to return to the days of Tail Gunner Joe McCarthy, where the Committee on un-American Activities is resurrected and not a single citizen is safe.

Big Brother is open for Business in Washington. It is up to us, and YOU to make our collective voices known, and cause an earthquake of massive proportions reigning down from our mountain to stop the Hordes in their tracks.

My mountain is called LIBERALISM. My mountain is called REASON. My mountain is called EDUCATION. My mountain is called KNOWLEDGE. My mountain is called PRESERVATION. My mountain is called PROTECTION FOR ALL PEOPLE GREAT AND SMALL. My mountain has plenty of room on it for others and we await your appearance on it.

I am proud to be LIBERAL in every sense, belief and fabric of my soul. So are my brethren. Come join us, un-American traitors to the President, won't you?
