That would terrify me.

Luckily I'm thin and small-framed so my size couldn't hide a baby, but still.

Scary!

no luck for you; My sis-in-law is small-framed like Twiggy and she carried full-term without anybody noticing (she knew of course).

confused

My mom got huge when she had her kids so with any luck I've inherited that trait.

Well if your having sex, it is always a possibility. She doesn't have much time to plan. I have heard of women dropping full term babies that never knew they were Pregnant!

My sister-in-law did that. She is petite. She had a baby on December 26th. I think she "found out" she was pregnant December 20th. She says she never knew.

that scene was way too gruesome for that movie, but I guess they didn't want to gloss over the reality. BUT the good thing about being the woman giving birth, is that you are pretty much spared the sight - unless some bright spark hands you a mirror eek

True story-- my sister got into a warm bath to ease an aching back and had a baby right there.

It's been many years, but I'm still very paranoid about something similar happening to me. So I don't bathe.

See not knowing at 20 weeks that your pregnant is still understandable! but not knowing through out the whole pregnancy, well thats just hard to imagine. Being a young, single mom I did not want to believe I was pregnant either but when you feel that baby move, well there's just no denying you are!

UPDATE:

She and her boyfriend have decided to keep the kid, even with the startling short amount of time they have to prepare for it's arrival. They're also looking for an apartment closer to her Dad's place (he's retired) so he can help with Junior.

My favorite bit while giving birth was when the midwife asked if I would like a "mirror" to be able to watch the babys head "crown"
I glared at the midwife and said " Are u kidding me with that? I have to do this, I don't wanna watch it too!!!"
