I actually look forward to going up there. I get a lot of reading done. This is like Port Sanilac, Michigan, on the Lake Huron, where I live. We can't get a phone signal on any of the cells. No high speed internet, no street lights, no all nite stores open. The only way we can have tv reception is with the high priced DISH network or cable. But the air smells so clean and the Full Moon coming up over the Lake Huron last night was breathtaking. NOTHING happens here in the Winter but now the Summer cottagers will open up their homes this weekend and it will get pretty busy at the little diner and marina. It is so small in Port Sanilac that when we moved up here their post office was too full (with about 500 residents) so we had to take an Applegate address (a tiny village 4 miles inland). I love it except for the lack of music venues (um the country bar down the road) and no vegetarian foods nearby. I fantasize about living somewhere like that year-round. All I would need is a mailbox and internet service and I think I could do it. A significant other would be nice too I guess.

And watching lots of old films. There's much I haven't seen.

Let me know when you want to buy that remote house together.

I took it down about six years ago. I was tired of the snow plows knocking it down every time we had snow and trying to retrieve mail from the snowbanks. Music is the language of the spirit. It opens the secret of life bringing peace, abolishing strife. --Kahlil Gibran
