Whats some good stuff to heal a facial sunburn? I ran a 10k for charity today and put sunblock everywhere except for the front of my neck and my face and I was wearing sunglasses so I have a red front of my neck and my face is sunburnt except 4 where my sunglasses were! The pain sucks can anyone give me good non greasy stuff that has healing powers for sunburn? Carpenters bend wood, fletchers bend arrows, wise men fashion themselves.

Yep. I always keep an aloe vera plant in my house during the summer, in case anyone gets burned, which is usually me because I'm so fair skinned I just cut it open and get the gel out from the inside and stick in the frig to keep it cool and then I rub it on the burn 2 or 3 times a day. Aloe vera is the best thing for pain relief and reducing inflammation.

Nothing will heal it but time.
Aloe will soothe it somewhat, though. Take an anti-inflammatory (like ibuprofen) for pain and make sure you stay hydrated. And you're going to want to lotion like crazy...because you're going to look like your whole face has dandruff in a couple days. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

how about regular after sun lotion? that's pretty good,
that and cucumber pulp applied as a poultice and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

When I lived in South Beach everybody used to use fresh cut aloe vera stalks

My 1st response is aloe or anything with aloe as an ingrediant. Elsewise:
http://www.webmd.com/skin...-treatment Webmd has medical advise that's current. self spellcheck, ingrediant with an "a". [Edited 5/18/08 20:07pm]
