Ok, but if you actually "knew" how many your mate has been with and it was a lot in your mind, would you have any issues with that?
No I wouldn't.

So it does sound more so that it's a "guy thing" to be more concerned with that.

I think the answer is both. I mean, if you in love with someone and you trust them, then the number doesn't matter cause its all about you and your significant other. HOWEVER a high amount does say something about a person; its much different than having a lot of sex with just one person

I disagree. Some people love sex. Some people have issues that make them want to have sex with a lot of people.

Could mean they have issues with forming serious romantic relationship, or maybe the partners they had, has issues forming serious romantic relationships. I mean, of course there could be other reasons, but whatever a person does in the past experience helps form the person you know, so I think its important to talk about it, as long as you can be an adult

Not in the slightest. I don't think it's any of my business, really. shrug As long as they've been careful and treat *me* with respect, that's all that matters.

Having sex with someone you love is amazing. Slightly better than hot random sex.

Naw, thought it could mean the person is a nyphomanic, like Eric Benet. Or the person has just had bad luck with relationships. Personally I guess its my view that even though hot sex is great, its more meaningful when you care about the person

I'm just saying that that double standard is never gonna go away. It simply is what it is. We (foolishly, of course) view women as these "innocent & pure" creatures and us men like to feel we can protect that innocence and it starts at a young age. The fathers are happy when their son gets his first piece of ass but he DREADS the day it happens to his daughter lol. The double standard starts early and it is what it is.

That's a load of BS. lol

We could say "it is what it is" to a LOT of things and nothing would ever change EVER. If you decide to change your view on things, you can. If you educate people on their assery, sometimes they DO realize they're being an ass. And wrong.

misslilly

heck yes! some men have become my good freinds that way. they ask me out and i say no. they ask why and i tell them if they are a slut. one man called me up and we argued for an hour over him being a slut or not. after i named a million women he agreed. now he is a family freind, honest and always there for me. just not in the way he wanted at first. and also if i do sleep with a person they have 2 have their "dog tags" HIV/HEP NEGATIVE !!!!!

I've never noticed a difference. It's all the same for me. Whether I love the person or hate them. The sex is the same.

lol Yeah right! If you think you can change CENTURIES of how women have been viewed all over the world to where it would knock down THAT specific stereotype, then you're more than welcomed to try! lol

For millenia men didn't believe women would/could ever be where they are today in sooooo many aspects. This isn't so different.
