Yeah, I heard about this as well. Some of the folks I was with were making a big deal about the fact that Halle, being black, was playing a white woman. I asked what's the difference between that and the beloved Jolie, being white, when she played a black woman? Then there was a brief silence and then I said "Uh huh...that's what I thought.".
