80's. The birth of Hip Hop (well kinda...since it really was the 70's). Break dancing, the clothes (which are back in style). Back when radio was fun and we could all make money from it... I digress (personal, my bad)

Cause now for the most part, Hip Hop is an ignorant mess....wow I cannot believe I'm saying those words....

I did live it as a "high schooler" (82-85) and a college student (85-89).

The 80s were fun in a lot of ways. Sometimes I really miss the big hair, the gaudy colors, and the other silly stuff. And I love the music of the 80s.

On the other hand, I think no decade as a whole has produced better movies or television than the 70s. A lot of interesting things were going on in publishing at that time too. The 70s were a weird time culturally, but I think that produced some incredible art.

yay! that was me in the '80s....the heyday of the holy trifecta of music....Prince, Madonna and Michael in top form.....though I do cringe when I think of myself with eyeliner on one eye with all manner of rude boy buttons and T-shirts....weighing all of a buck-0-five with huge hair like '70s Prince....

so glad I'm older now..... lol

Yes they did, but as a music genre "Dance Music" kicked off in the 90's purists belive that it actually started in 89, but there you go.
