Ain't it? Damn shame he went that young. Dude had guts like hell as a baller.

Three-time NBA champion, money player, terrfic defender(Magic will tell you that).

Dude should be in the HOF. Bill Walton's in and his career wasn't that much better than Dennis'. In fact, Walton got in on his college credentials for the most part.

The only thing that you have "schooled" anyone on is that you are an Internet troll with an obnoxiously persistent arrogance. I have to be "allowed" to speak hoops with some random person over the Internet? My goodness.

You best believe it. You wanna waste time pointing out people's typos and weak shit like that, then that just tells me you're not equipped to take me on in a discussion about hoops. It's more important to you to act rather childish and point out grammatical errors by some "random person on the internet" rather than talk the game. That's bush league, always remember that. thumbs up!

I've never encountered someone so up himself on the internet before. Congratulations! What's childish is insisting that you are "schooling" people and constantly degrading other posters by inferring that they have no knowledge of basketball, just because they don't agree with you.

You have great comedic value here, though, that's for sure. Implying that the Lakers have the best bench in the league was good for grade A laughs.

True, the basketball HOF takes the entire career into account. Walton was(IMO), the second greatest college player ever(behind Kareem), but only had one and a half years of greatness in the pros. DJ had a much better pro career. He and Gus "The Wizard" Williams were one of the best backcourts I've ever seen.

Larry Legend made the classic steal on Detroit, but it was DJ who had the prescence of mind to be in the right place at the right time and he converted a tough layup. It's a travesty he's not in the HOF.

Now that AD is in, Dennis Johnson is my choice for the most deserving player not in the Hall.

bored You finished now? Good. Sorry, but anyone who thinks Kwame Freakin' Brown's game and Brian Grant's game was hindered by Kobe doesn't know hoops. That's truly evident and I hate to break that to you but you should actually at least know that. Good lord. Now, hopefully you're able to move on. We're on another topic. Join us, if you can.

Hmm? Bill the 2ndGOAT in college? I'll have to think about that for a bit and see. He was in fact a beast though.

And I wonder if DJ will get some consideration due to his passing. You know how they do cats after they pass: Good enough when they're no longer here but not good enough while they're here. Sad.

That's my opinion, and I'm sticking to it. You can stick to your opinion that I don't know hoops- I don't really care! I could make the same argument about you given some of your statements, such as the aforementioned Laker bench comment, but especially the comment that Kobe is a better scorer than MJ. But I'm not so short-sighted as to imply that someone doesn't know basketball on the basis of one or two opinions with which I disagree. However, I am confident in saying that you seem unable to engage in a debate with someone without resorting to insults and self-exaltation. It doesn't make you come off as a very likable and detracts from any valid points you may have.

To me, the top three college ballers are Kareem, Big Red & Bill Russell.

Read DJ's numbers at wikipedia - if this isn't HOF material, I don't know what the f--k is. AD was great, but how does he get in over DJ? DJ was a Finals MVP!!!!

While DJ was great and has a better argument in terms of team success, AD had a better skill set and put up better numbers, which is why he gets the nod. The truth is, both players are highly underrated, and both should have made the top 50 of all-time on the 50th Anniversary team.

You name it. Losing a team is harsh business. We got um in court. But one can only hope.

At the time, it was bogus to include Shaq, as he had only played 4 seasons. I also would have taken out Bill Walton, who although great, did not last long enough in the league or produce enough to warrant his inclusion.

Ok, but you can't take any big men off. If your including DJ and AD, you have to take off at least 1 guard (maybe 2 since AD played guard as well as forward) and 1 forward.
