In a way, he is perfect for Los Angeles, as his selfish antics are perfect fodder for Hollywood tabloids and celebrity-obsessed media. I'll admit that I'm biased when it comes to Kobe. I think he is one of the worst role models sports has ever seen. It's a shame all that talent had to go to such a bad person. I wouldn't argue with him winning a most "talented" player award, but his effect on team chemistry makes the notion of him as the most valuable player seem absurd to me.

I'd pretty much agree with you except for the fact that you can't say that THIS year about Kobe which is why he deserves the MVP. Especially with the way that they came into this season. He wanted out of there and the team pretty much felt the same way except they knew they couldn't get an even trade for him because there's no such thing with Kobe Bryant. Just like MJ, as much as you can hate the guy (i don't hate him like i hated MJ) he's by FAR the most talented player in the league. And for some reason, something in him clicked this season and he did what most people said he wasn't capable of doing MAKING THE OTHER PLAYERS ON HIS TEAM BETTER. If you looked at this roster at the beginning of the season and thought they'd have the #1 seed in the West you'd have been called crazy. Kobe did that. So you gotta give him his props.
