Recommend a remedy for DRY FEET & other SKIN CARE tips My feet have been unusually dry this month.
I never had moist feet anyways (they never smell in shoes, and never get really damp during the day). But the skin has always been normal. But now they're really dry, like all the time. My sister recommend soaking them in a hot melted wax solution you can by at Target or Walmart?? I have no clue what that even means. What are your recommendations? What other skin care tips do you have?

Not for dry feet, but if you have stinky feet then you can wash them in warm tea. I prefer to use loose oolong tea in hot water to clean my face with though. Feels fantastic! Alternatively you can put a towel over you and just sweat the crap out of your face.
Said it a million times before but it's worth repeating that you can use white or green teabags to cleanse your face. Avoid ones with fruit infusion as you don't know if they'll irritate. Black tea teabags over the eyes for 10 mins to freshen that skin up a bit and reduce bags.

1 Tablespoon of flaxseed oil daily... maybe some zinc too. Your body is lacking essential fatty acids.
Eat more nuts. | |

I think your sister is talking about paraffin wax. I've never done it so I can't offer any advice. You're into all that natural shit so I don't know what to tell you. Get a foot file (like a nail file for your foot) and right after you shower scrub those dogs. Then slather them up with something very hydrating. I use bag balm which is actually used for moisturizing cow udders, but it works very well on my skin too.

Hey boo Think about it, all those antioxidants, straight to your skin, especially if you use white tea. It feels so fresh straight away, though of course this is exaggerated if you live in a very hot climate and you're typically quite sweaty at any given time. I don't know if in a cold climate and with dry skin the tea wouldn't be a little drying, but still I think as a quick cleanse it'd work nicely. I make a big bowl of loose tea and just keep splashing it all over my face. It really makes a difference. I should remember to do it more often.

I love the smell of coconut. One problem I have with coconut moisturizers is the the oder, though very pleasant, is overwhelming a lot of times. Is this one really strong in oder?

What I do is, while I'm taking a shower, I scrub my feet with this foot file that I have. Once I'm out of the shower, I dry my feet, rub some body butter on them, and put on some socks. I keep them on overnight and when I wake up, my feet are totally purdy.

You know. That was probably unintentional, but I found that sentence extremely erotic.

This is what I've done over the years for dry feet:
Burt's Bees Apricot Oil: I think it's a part of their baby care line, but it smells amazing. I would rub some on my feet before bed and then put on some thin white cotton socks and go to sleep, Vaseline: If my feet were really dry and cracked Jergen's Shea Butter Lotion: I use it the same way I use the apricot oil but it I find that it works a little better if your skin is a bit thickened. Also, soaking your feet in epsom salts or peppermint tea and then taking a pumice stone to the soles helps a great deal. Goodness, now that I'm thinking about it, I need to take some of my own advice and pamper my poor feet a bit.

How can you stand to have socks on moisturized feet all night? I have tried that before and my feet start to feel like an inferno. Seems like the socks cause the lotion to heat up or something. I can't do it. I feel like I am smothering.

Actually, yeah, why not just wash your feet in tea, scrape the top layer off your toe nails (with the edge of a pair of nail scissors if need be) while you're at it and you'll have bright, shiny new toe nails too. Then use some kind of lotion such as one suggested here perhaps.
