I like Richard a lot. We don't interact as much as we should, perhaps, but I always follow his posts and threads and sometimes we bump into each other and it's always fun. Except when he has strange dreams about me. That's messed up! In fact, it's creepy and the guy winds me up over the whole wedding ring thing. Down with Richard!  | |

I always thought Supa was a great person, but OMG, after meeting him in person, I found out there are no words to discribe his person.

Supa's an amazing person. He was one of the first people that I wanted to meet or talk with here and when I finally started chatting with him, I felt like I had talked with a superstar! I've had a blast talking with him over the phone and his honesty and sense of humor is why I admire him so much. I wish I was still in S. California so that we could hang out but luckily, the way things are going, I will be coming to L.A. to visit later this year and I'm making it a point to see him cause I know he's going to be a trip to hang with! It's interesting, I first met Richie a handful of years ago, well make that two handfuls -- a DECADE -- through a little old website called the "ppml." I was in Anchorage working for Uncle Jam's Air Force (still am) and I started e-mailing Richie at some point.
Our long-distance friendship / mutual friendship kicked off in the glorious year of 1998. He was down on his luck and I helped him through a dark period with uplifting rare Prince jems I found through the Purple Underground. I've only met him once in real life, but it was well worth the wait. I'll be seeing him again this June in Anaheim while I visit my sister in San Diego. Supa is one of a kind. | |

You're so right. He IS the org for me too. One of the reasons I log on here is to track down dickie boy. I remember seeing him in line at the Kodak theatre before the 'one night alone' show. He was, of course, the center of attention and had everyone laughing. The following week I send him an orgnote and introduced myself. We met later in the week and he had a gift for me: 15 CDs of various mixes including some Ani DiFranco. He introduced me to Ani Fucking Difranco. It's funny how I became as obsessed with Ani as I am with Prince thanks to Richard. He's amazing. I love, just absolutely love, him.
