You're 18 and single - do both!

BTW, we have the same birthday. Great day, huh?

Tell me how I'm wrong, Erin.....
Having been to LA several times and even more times to NYC, I have come to find out the following:

LA-features: weather, beach, Mexico, Las Vegas, Sandiego (these are all relatively close). Skiing in the mountains (very close), great climate all year through (no damned cold winters!!!), entertainment, Sunsetstrip, Californian Sunset, porn-industry, friggin' Disneyland, San Francisco is relatively close, state-parks (Joshua Tree, etc).....Baja California.....you can go on!

NYC: Broadway, overpriced clubs & bars that really are not that good, high-rises wherever you can see, cold atlantic winds, shite winters with lots of snow, high rents, Boston (cool town, but put that up against SF!), New Jersey (wacky).....I am sure I can go one.....

I was just kidding. lol

But I am not talking about the weather and things to do. I was talking about the people. The vibe.

lol The people in NYC are just as fake.....the only difference is that pace is slower in L.A., which I prefer, in NYC everybody seems to be in a rush and still think they're all so important!

One could say the same when comparing central florida to say, London.
I don't think many folks would pick any location in Florida over London though.

I think there's a difference between great places to visit, and great places to live.

One should always consider how they WILL ACTUALLY LIVE. In L.A., you can supplement any lifestyle doing porn-- LA wins.

Why in the hell did you guys approve of a commuter train that cuts through down town traffic and kills people each year? Couldn't raise that shit over the street instead of through it? lol

It's a totally different vibe and one that most people, who I know and are la lot ike me, are more comfortable with.

But I've never been to LA myself so I can't totally say for sure that I agree or not...but the stories I've been told - particularly on the music biz/celeb scene side of it makes me think I'd hate it.

I'd pick Miami Beach over London.....any day!!! nod

London is one of the last places I would like to live in!

The LA Porn-Factor is decisive here..... nod

lol

I would pick London over Miami South Beach "IF" you didn't factor in weather.

I think it's unfortunate though as Miami South Beach and much of Florida gets pre-judged just like California does.

Sure it's plastic, sure it's people are hyper-beautiful, and sure it's expensive--but there's a fun, charming vibe to all of it that makes for a very good time. I've never had a bad time in South Beach.. like, ever.

I see what you mean..... i.e. I thought I'd absolutely hate Bangkok, turns out I absolutely love it for everything it is.

I don't hate NYC, but I'd choose LA over it.....the music-/celeb- stuff you can as easily avoid in LA as you can avoid Imago in Tampa! nod

Tampabay is the coolest city in America it's size. I mean totally.
I know I can't be objective about it, but it totally rocks. There isn't anything like it from the entertainment venues, amusement parks, world class beaches (Caladesi, Lido, Siesta, Clearwater, St. Pete), to it's natural fresh water springs etc. etc. It's hilarious to read all those depressing threads about snow and cold after I just got back from a long jog (in shorts and a t-shirt) along the waterfront. lol

Seriously. There's nothing like watching the sunset over Caladesi in shorts and a t-shirt, knowing folks are contemplating suicide from cabin fever up north lol
