I'm a sucker for the young adult fantasy genre, or anything having to do with wizards and such. I've already preordered the new Artemis Fowl for July and the third Christopher Paolini book, Brisingr for September, but right now I'm reading this:

I feel a thread coming on. America's political system used to be about the "pursuit of happiness." Now more and more of us want to stop chasing it and have it delivered.

This, still. My pace has really slacked off the last few weeks. Too much going on to devote a lot of time to reading. From now on, more reading, less orging.

Cyber Rights - Defending Free Speech in the Digital Age by Mike Godwin
I'm hoping it will illuminate me on Prince's convoluted moves towards the Net and his fans and perhaps reveal an ingenious little model for distribution that would make everybody happy - fans & artists. One can dream...

You've said it:) Right now I'm toiling through Section 506 of Title 17 of the Copyright Act in the 'The Battle over Copyright on the Net' chapter.
My next read will be on zen cooking, it's decided:) Anxiety said: Flo6 said: Cyber Rights - Defending Free Speech in the Digital Age by Mike Godwin

ThreadBare said: It's a struggle, but I will complete this horrible book. I know exactly what you mean. This was a very hard book to read. I used to love Toni's work, but her last couple of books are over the top boring. I find the same with Alice Walker. Both of these ladies used to be favorite writers of mine, but their recent work is sub-par IMO.

I need to finish this book, because I'm really loving it, but I'm tempted to stop in the middle to start this one that I've been hearing great things about for years: "Half of what I say is meaningless; but I say it so that the other half may reach you." - Kahlil Gibran
