Thank you to everyone who said a prayer for my mother, and/or left words of support and comfort for her, my family, and myself on this thread. I will respond later to each of you individually, but wanted to at least say a collective "thank you" now.

This site is filled with such wonderful people. I am thankful for each of you.

As for my mother, I was not able to travel home to be there today, and so am relying on notifications from family/the hospital itself to inform me of developments. She was to be at the hospital late-morning to be prepared for surgery, and the surgery estimated to last approximately 90 minutes; however, it got to be late afternoon and I'd not yet heard anything from anyone, and so just a bit ago I called and spoke with a nurse who said my mother was just being brought into recovery, but could provide no further specifics. So, I do not yet know if my mother's surgery was begun later than scheduled or if there were circumstances which caused it to be longer than anticipated, nor her precise condition.

I am quite stressed. It is difficult being far from family during times such as this.
