WillyWonka said: Thank you to everyone who said a prayer for my mother, and/or left words of support and comfort for her, my family, and myself on this thread. I will respond later to each of you individually, but wanted to at least say a collective "thank you" now.
This site is filled with such wonderful people. I am thankful for each of you. As for my mother, I was not able to travel home to be there today, and so am relying on notifications from family/the hospital itself to inform me of developments. She was to be at the hospital late-morning to be prepared for surgery, and the surgery estimated to last approximately 90 minutes; however, it got to be late afternoon and I'd not yet heard anything from anyone, and so just a bit ago I called and spoke with a nurse who said my mother was just being brought into recovery, but could provide no further specifics. So, I do not yet know if my mother's surgery was begun later than scheduled or if there were circumstances which caused it to be longer than anticipated, nor her precise condition. I am quite stressed. It is difficult being far from family during times such as this. Thank you again, each of you, for your prayers, good wishes, and compassion, all of which is deeply appreciated. | |
