L.A. Coroner says pneumonia was Christian Brando's cause of death at 20:46 on April 11, 2008, EDT.
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles County Coroner's office says that Christian Brando died of pneumonia. The coroner's office released autopsy results Friday. The eldest son of the late actor Marlon Brando, Christian died in January at a Los Angeles hospital. He was 49. Christian Brando's mother, actress Anna Kashfi, divorced Marlon Brando after a year. ©The Canadian Press, 2008

I didn't know you could still die of pneumonia in 2008, especially in a country with Western health care and all... it sounds so Middle Ages.
My brother was hospitalized in March for pneumonia and pleuresy [has been smoking since he was 15], but he is out now. So yes, I'm tempted to think Brando Jr. must have been doing something else [like the cocaine Jersey mentioned], or the pneumonia had actually led to lung cancer. Just my uninformed guess. | |

i had pneumonia when i was 4 and it was bad.. they had me hooked up with all type of tubes and i remember them putting plastic all around covering the hospital bed..i couldnt even leave the bed (even to use the bathroom) .. as i started recovering and when i was well enough to leave the bed, they allowed me to start playing with the other kids, but ... i had to be in a wheelchair, hooked up with an IV taped with a board under my arm.. all this happening in the late 70's though.. this is really sad that this happened to Marlon's son...Pneumonia is nothing to play with.. | |
