We usually fly with Etihad when we go to the UK. They're pretty good, and cheap. Not much use to you though unfortunately.

I'd like to completely hijack this thread, since ATA filed for bankruptcy yesterday, 2 days after I changed my flight for the third time in 3 months.
Lihue, Hawaii to Chicago, Illinois, one way. departing any time between May 5th and May 9th. I've already spent a whole day trying to clear up this mess between 2 credit cards and 2 airlines. i think lax-lhr flights in june are nearly $1200. i'm scared to look. 
oh yeah- don't go with BA (it's basically like trying to lose your luggage purposely ); virgin atlantic isn't bad & neither is american air. the former's got slightly better food and a better entertainment interface thing, but AA has nicer/more spacious seats, imo.[Edited 4/4/08 5:24am] | |

Looks like Zoom Air lines flies out of JFK for real cheap to London Gadwick https://www.flyzoom.com/r...alSearch=1 Prices as low as $189 x 2 round trip in June. However, I'm sure there's taxes and hidden fees too. Then you'd have to figure out how to get to JFK and back. But I'm going to see if this saves a few hundred bucks.

I travel a lot internationally for work, so I have to deal with this all the time. If you choose to travel a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, instead of a Friday you will realize considerable savings compared to departing/returning on a Friday. Or maybe even check out departing/returning on a Saturday....
