I have a friend like that right now who is always saying nobody loves her and that she's very lonely, but she has lots of friends constantly visiting her. I didn't get it either until a friend of mine (who always had to have a boyfriend) actually admitted to me that was why she had a new guy every week after I flat out asked her. She said that since her dad was never in her life, she felt she needed a guy to give her that attention, because she never really had a male's attention. It was weird to me then and still is now.
