a.)What (illegal) drugs have you tried? I drank alcohol underage and tried cigarettes once.


b.)If you did but stopped..why led you to stop? was it an experience, as in bad trip? (consider having stopped meaning 2+ years abstaining from the drug) I never started smoking b/c the one time I did it my throat hurt for 3 days. I was like, "Fuck that." I will smoke cigars every once in a great while, though (because you don't have to inhale ).


c.)If you still partake, what do you consider a misconception of the drug of your choice? (for ex: why it isn't as bad as others claim) I do still drink alcohol (although it's not illegal for me to do so). In high school I would get absolutely wasted to the point of puking most every weekend if I drank. I wasn't as bad in college or post-undergrad, but I would still get drunk. What made me stop drinking to that extent was that I had a friend who would get obnoxiously drunk and I got sick of it. I got sick of her making an ass of herself thinking it was cute, of taking care of her, of watching her allow slimeball guys to hit on her (ie. I got sick of babysitting her).

Also, I am adamently against drinking and driving b/c a guy I really, really liked in high school was killed when the girl driving his car (drunk!) drove off the road into a tree. He was passed out (also drunk!) in the passenger seat and died, while she survived.

I will still have a few glasses of wine if I go out to dinner, or a few beers while out but I rarely ever get drunk. I hate being hung over and it saves money, too!


d.)What drugs would you NEVER try? why? I don't think I'll ever try any drugs. I have a lot of friends who have done all sorts of things: pot, coke, 'shrooms, acid, (even dated a guy who did embalming fluid ), etc. and I have seen what it does and how ridiculously people behave when they are on drugs. I am fortunate that I have not lost any of them, but there were times I was very worried about that happening.


e.)If you've never tried a drug at all....why? I went to a very small school where it was cool to get good grades, play sports, etc. All my friends were straight A students and varsity athletes...I never saw any of them do drugs, ever (except underage drinking). I just (naively) thought that my friends weren't doing them--I learned much later that a few of them were (see d.). When I went to college and hung around people smoking pot, they seemed kind of burnt and unambitious. I didn't want to be like that so I never smoked it. See d. for why I've never tried anything else. I have a fair number of friends who smoke pot, I don't really like being around them when they do it because they do stupid shit and think it's hilarious.


f.)How did you start taking drugs? I was the last of my friend to start drinking underage--at the age of 15. I did it because the basketball season was over (so I knew I couldn't get kicked off the team if I were to get caught) and I was at a party with this guy whom I had a huge crush on; he kept flirting with me and offering me a drink. (The same guy who was later killed in the drunk driving accident, and who bought alcohol for me and my friends throughout high school.)



I know that alcohol is legal, but I do think it's a drug. If it were made illegal I don't think I'd have a problem not drinking it. If pot were made legal, I'm not sure if I'd try it. At this point I feel like I've made it this long without doing it, so why start now?

d.) What drugs would you NEVER try? why? the drugs i listed in question a. many people i have known through the years are gone now because of these drugs. was offered many times but that garbage never even crossed my mind. i was so fucked up on what i was doing i couldnt imagine it being worse.

Drug testing is no joke...gotta have a job, especially since I like eating and material things. But there are ways around them...so I've been told by others.

Okay, here we go
Eating is necessary, but if you do too much eating you can become severely obese and eventually die or sustain major health problems. If you drink too much water, you can drown yourself. I heard about this because of some contest that a radio station had a few years ago where they wanted to see who could drink the most water. The winner died..he drowned. These are two very important things needed by every human to sustain life, but if done in excess, can end your life...and it's just water and food. Hell, too much exercise is bad for you because it can start breaking down muscles. Drug use isn't really that much different IMO (well, with the exception of some drugs...many times dirty because of being laced with things like rat poison and other poisonous shit that is of course bad for you).

Methadone is a clean form of heroine used to ween heroine addicts, but I found out that it can be used as a very strong pain killer. I actually saw a vet prescribe it to a dog once because the dog was very old and constantly in severe pain and of course the owners didn't see ending his suffering by euthansizing him as an option. Hell, euthansia solution used to be a human drug before they realized it's ability to be abused and how wrong calculations could result in death...now that's all it's used for.

I had friends who used to go out to the club and get soo drunk that I thought they were going to die from alcohol poisoning, but they were all over the age of 21, so it wasn't illegal. I had a friend who used to take 4 or more Tylenol PMs everyday because it made him sleep better...duh, it's a sleep-aid. I used to tell him that if he took too many he was never going to wake up and you can buy those over the counter. I know soo many people who have to have one or more cups of coffee every day to function. Personally, I hate coffee, but love the smell of it. Caffeine is just as much of a drug as cocaine is, except too much of it can't suddenly end your life. It's an upper and even though it takes a lot of it to do any major harm to your body, it's not really good for you at all.

Legal or illegal, anything that doesn't really improve your health isn't a good thing, but I don't discriminate. If people want to drink 20 cups of coffee a day with a shot of caffeine booster and loads of sugar in each cup, than good for them if it gives them some type of self-satisfaction. If a person is a 3 packs a day smoker, than, who am I to judge them, if it makes them happy (damn, talk about an expensive habit, for real). If you have to have a Pepsi or Coke every hour to keep from ripping someone's face off, than have a Coke and a smile, I don't care...even though soda is very bad on your kidneys and has loads of sugar in it. Soo many things are bad for you, so why hate on just drugs?

I've seen too many episodes of the show "Intervention" to blind myself to the fact that drug addiction isn't the only addiction that many people suffer from. There was one lady who was given two choices: either go to therapy or go to jail because she was addicted to shopping and had been convicted more than once of identity theft and writing hundreds of bad checks. Drugs are not the only excess that can destroy lives and families.

It's not 100% the drug's fault. People take waay too much of it and overdose. Just like it's not McDonald's fault that kids are obese because they eat Mickey D's for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and every snack in between is candy, chips, and soda. It's not Marilyn Manson or the Matrix's fault that Columbine happened, but those were the first things people wanted to point the finger at when that tragedy happend If people can't do things in moderation and take responsibility for their own actions and bad decisions, than that's their own damn fault and no one elses.

Plus, someone above stated that the majority illegal drugs were legal at some point in history (I watched that Vh1 special "The Drug Year" too)...hell, Coke-Cola used to have cocaine in it's original formula...guess that explains why it was soo popular when it first came out. This is all just my , so it doesn't make it law...it just makes it my opinion.

Heroine, crystal meth, cocaine, PCP aka Angel Dust, crack...too many stories of people getting addicted after just one time of taking the drug. I don't even like taking strong pain killers...Ibuprofen 800mg is as strong as I get. Met lots of people addicted prescription pain killers....very dangerous, because doctors usually allow for refills and since a doctor ok'ed it, it's not illegal unless you sell them, which I've seen too. Legal can become illegal very fast in this day and age.

Speaking for those who don't take drugs...many people don't like to feel out of control, which is one of the main effects of many drugs. Alcohol makes people more social when usually they may more shy. Being out of control is very scary for a lot of people, which is probably why many people hate sudden change...just my , but I grew out of the D.A.R.E. phase a long time ago, so what do I know

f.)How did you start taking drugs?

I was curious. Nobody walked up to me in an alley and pressured me into taking anything. I was also curious about tattoos, which is why I have 6 now and want more. By the time I had turned 18, the only major drug I had ever had was when I had to have dental surgery and they gave me a morphine drip IV...best nap I've ever had even to this day. I was knocked out.
