Ugh! Anybody else watch the Liverpool Man U. game?

Ok, it's hard for me to be objective being a Liverpool fan, but still, Mascherano's stupidity accepted, didn't the referee royally fuck up tonight?

First tackle and he got booked. Torres then got booked for the briefest of backchat. It's not like he's the type who abuses referees either. Mascherano couldn't have managed to get more than 5 words out before the ref was reaching for his cards and you could see he didn't use the f-word so what could he have said???

Thank you Ashley Cole. It's quite clear we were made an example of in this game and it sucks.

John Terry intimidates refs in every game, running up and shouting in their faces and we just happen to be the team that suffers the backlash from all that. True, we weren't great in the first half, but that's by the by as we at least deserved a chance to play better in the second half with all 11 players on the pitch. There wasn't a bad tackle in the game yet a player was sent off. Always a sign that the ref has made a mistake.

throw a game, make bad calls - not see real calls

so in the end - guess it all balances out

I think Mascherano was asking for it, you could see it coming. He persistently went on and on at the ref after his first booking, he then ran a good 20 yards when torres got booked, alonso tried to hold him back but he couldn't. I dont think it's what he said to the ref then that necessarily got him booked - it was his persistent comments and the 20 yard run. I think the ref tried to warn him that if he carried on he'd be off, he did carry on so off he went.

If that was one of our players i'd be annoyed with them not the ref...i think...
