I was at work the other day when I guy I knew from high school came in. I waited on him. Later when I was closing, I got a call from him. I was busy so I called him back. Seems he wanted to apologize for not being nice to me when we were teenagers!

I was caught totally off guard! I said you don't have to apologize for anything that long ago. He went on a bit while I tried to remember what he was apologizing for. I realized that I thought it was just his normal behavior and he was just generally a typical thoughtless teen back then. I told him it was all forgotten, and the call ended pleasantly.

It's nice to know some people grow up well.

I think you definitely grow out of experiences like high school with unsaid things and regrets though, I think we all do, so its nice when someone acts on it, to no great avail apart from brightening your day :sunshine:
