Which T.V. show did you like Better The Munsters or The Addams Family? I like both but I think I like the Munsters much Better. How about you? Al Lewis as Grandpa was Great. Fred Gynne as Herman and Yvone DeCarlo as Lily, Pat Priest as Marilyn and Butch Patrick as Eddie. And who can forget their pet Spot! | |

The Munsters...Fred Gwynne's Herman the Munster is unforgettable, and I don't think any other character in BOTH television shows compare...my vote goes to The Munsters...

I watched both, how could you not love cousin it, and Lurch.

Well, I absolutely LOVE both of these shows, but I gotta go with the Addam's Family. The Addam's were more cerebral, and the humour was a little darker. The Munster's were more straightforward slapstick.
When I was a kid, I used to imagine that they were cousins. I think the Addam's family film should have had a cameo by the Munster's! That would have rocked! | |

Addam's Family, by a nose. Both shows are old faves of mine, but I always preferred the general weirdness of The Addam's. Still, each show has lots of great laughs. Both had incredible casts!
Okay, I'm gonna hand out awards for these shows: Funniest: Herman Munster Wittiest: Gomez Addams Sexiest: Lily Munster Most elegant: Morticia Addams Coolest House: Tie Coolest Furniture: The Addam's house Coolest Pet: Spot the dragon (Munsters) Best Big Screen Adaptation: The Addams Family Coolest Car: The Munster Coach (although the Munster's Dragula should also get an honorable mention) Best Scientist: Grandpa (Munsters) Coolest Family member: Thing (Addams) Best Non-Family re-occurring character: Lurch the Butler (Addams)

As far as the big screen versions, the Addam's Family movie was waaaaayyyy better that "Munsters Go Home". Plus, Christina Ricci's Wednesday was incredible. Just thought I'd mention them. [This message was edited Tue Oct 29 9:51:11 PST 2002 by JediMaster]

The Munster's would have been better if an aquatic family member had been represented! Heck, they had Dracula (Grandpa), Frankenstein's Monster (Herman), The Were-wolf (Eddie) and Dracula's daughter (Lily), BUT NO GILL MAN! What a crime! | |
