I had a car stolen the year before last. I got it back, but it was such a pain and needed a bunch of work done on it. I gave it to my dad after because I didn't want to deal with it. neutral

Wow. What a great answer.

I agree.

In Costa Rica, our a backpack was stolen with our photo camera and all pictures
taken during that trip.

It was in the third week of our one month honeymoon. At that time we decided to
make a journal of our trip and started to write down all of our experiences.

We didn’t take any pictures from the rest of that trip. It turns out that the
clearest memories from that trip are from after our camera was stolen.

Perhaps in some subconscious way, people store their memories better when they
know that the memories are not going to be backed up by pictures.

Since that day, we don’t make that as much pictures on a holyday than we used
to. Instead, we try to make better memories.

A car...I got it back eventually, but still. That sucked.

I don't think I have ever had anything stolen from me. My identity once, by some guy who went round south america on my credit card, but nothing in the true sense.

I loaned my brand new digital camera to a friend once; he accidentally left it on the subway. Technically not stolen, but someone obviously took it and knew it didn't belong to them. shrug
