I had to let my best friend whom I've known since senior high go. Best thing I did and I am happy.

I'm like you Laurel. I still keep in contact with my best freind from Germany (1992!!!  )

Yeah, I let go of my sister and her husband, and more importantly, their kids (my niece and nephew). My sister and her husband said some terrible things about my family - untrue, of course. Worse, they turned their two kids against us.
I could have told their kids about all the BS their parents had done, but I figured that wouldn't make anyone feel good. | |
