i hope things are beginning to improve a bit. Well, let's see. I slept well enough. Short, due to the many naps I do in between, but very well. Then, the meds that kind of take your immunity system offline, so the flu is coming back with feverflashes. But for the rest it is just waitng, I am afraid. Resting and waiting until the meds take hold and some of the effects of the virus start wearing off. They did not give a time frame in which I can expect functions to return to normal. Thanks for checking in, mate! [Edited 3/4/08 7:53am]

[Edited 3/4/08 7:53am] i'd wondered if the docs had given you any sort of guesstimate on how long until you're back to normal, but i suppose that is a difficult thing to predict. stay warm and keep getting your rest, eat well and keep hanging in there -- we'll all help you get through this.

Well, the meds will take ten days to finish and then it's off to the neurologist to see if there's any damage. There's a 30% chance there is going to be permanent damage. And thanks. Appreciate it you coming back to check in with me. Mostly I am bored outa my wits. I play Mahjong alot.

I am normally a pig when it comes to eating; I take big chunks of food and chunk it all down as quickly as possible.
Not now; I need to take small bites with the right side of my mouth an djust hope that when I start to chew the left side has to be monitored; I mean, if the bite is too big I might by accident bite my lips or the inside of my cheek. ~takes sip of juice through straw~

Pain is just in my ear; an elongated zoom in my ear has been pestering me since friday and does not ease with the meds. And I still got the flu, that's how it all started. Thanks for the hugs. I will be better before you arrice, promise!

Awwww, Herman. I'm SO sorry to hear that - it sounds really uncomfortable. And scary. I hope you're starting to feel a bit better. I'm so sorry - I haven't been in GD the last few days and had no idea. I knew you were ill but... You're one of *the* strongest, most independent people I know and this goes to show we all need a hug and a bit of TLC at times. I hope you realise there are a LOT of people who care about you. Take care, take it easy and look after yourself. BIG hug, H. Ax
