Bob Ross - Anyone Remember?

Does anyone remember the cable TV show with Bob Ross, the painter? I am listening to a radio program that brought him up, and remember being awed, amused, soothed, and skeptical of him all at the same time. Does anyone else remember him?

He was the farming correspondant on the first paper I worked on. Nice old guy, stank of hay and belly button fluff.

You obviously missed the charms of the talented and soothing Mr Ross.

I was too busy being violently bummed by my stepfather while you were being soothed by Bob Ross.

I was usually soothed by him while in an altered state.

I was using 'violently bummed by stepfather' as a euphamism for smoking marijuana too. It's the new hipster jive in Scotland.

The rumor was that he and the Mr (Fred) Rogers were both snipers in the Viet Nam war.

He looks cool, like an American Rolf Harris. I'm regret making paedophilia jokes on this thread.

Supposedly, the secrets under his cardigans were tattoos!
