dramatic lemur is not a lemur, is in fact a Tarsius Syrichta Tarsius Syrichta: Not 'The World's Smallest Monkey' The Philippine tarsier, (Tarsius syrichta) is very peculiar small animal. In fact it is one of the smallest known primates, no larger than a adult men's hand. Mostly active at night, it lives on a diet of insects. Folk traditions sometimes has it that tarsiers eat charcoal, but actually they retrieve the insects from (sometimes burned) wood. It can be found in the islands of Samar, Leyte, Bohol, and Mindanao in the Philippines. http://lightismypaintbrus...llest.html Which raises the question, if that isn't the world's smallest primate, which is? Introducing, the slender loris
There is a type of lemur called a mouse lemur, but doesn't look like the dramatic lemur as much a tarsier does.

I saw that thread and it really bugged me at the time. I argued with Jamie about it being a lemur, he was happy for it to be a mouse lemur. I can sleep easy now I know it is a tarsier. A dramatic TARSIER.

I was just watching a show about lemurs last night on the Animal Planet channel.
They sure do have long tails, don't they? For some silly reason, I used to think that they were related to racoons, because of their striped tails. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.
