romance movie :hate 'em drama movie: I'm surprised at how many people haven't seen 'Cold Mountain'. Excellent film. horror/thriller movie: One of my fave genres and I'm particularly fond of 70's/80's stuff. So I'll recommend one from each category. Horror: 'Curtains'. Thriller: 'Dead Of Winter'. comedy movie: 'Little Miss Sunshine' I'm in the mood for a good one and a glass of wine

Ocean said: violator said: Another romance hater Cold mountain ..is that the one with Nicole Kidman in it? Yes. Although it has some romance as the backstory... I was really just thinking of those awful romantic comedies...

drama movie: Hotel Rwanda, Into The Wild horror/thriller movie: Sunshine, Memories Of Murder comedy movie: Fun With Dick And Jane is stupid but funny... I knew I could rely on u ok who's in them...give me the run down hun Once: not sure who's in it, and I've actually not seen it lol ...but it's supposed to be rather good, and there was a thread about the movie on here not too long ago: http://prince.org/msg/100/259454 Before Sunset: Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy play lovers who met, instantly connected, and spent just one night together in the movie "Before Sunrise". This movie has these two characters meeting up again 9 years later after no contact between them. I don't think you need to see "Before Sunrise" to enjoy it (I never saw it lol), but you can watch that one as well. Hotel Rwanda: True story with Don Cheadle about the manager of a luxury hotel in Rwanda who saves the lives of over a thousand refugees during the 100 day massacre and genocide in that country. It's amazingly powerful, extremely compelling and even very funny when you least expect it. Into The Wild: Another true story about a guy (around 20 years old, I think) who just one day leaves behind everything and everyone he knows and just...travels around the U.S., eventually making Alaska his ultimate goal. He donates all his money to a charity, closes out all his accounts, and just roams. Very poignant. Sunshine: The sun's about to extinguish itself, and a crew of seven (eight? six? Hell, I can't remember lol) members go on a mission to explode a nuclear bomb inside the sun to reignite it. Has Cillian Murphy in it. Memories Of Murder: Based on the true story of South Korea's first reported case of a serial killer. Mostly follows the detectives who try and figure out who the killer is, but it's tense, and often hilarious (if you like dark humor)...it's not grisly, although it layers on the dread at times in a VERY effective way. You can either watch the dubbed version or read the subtitles. Fun With Dick And Jane: VERY stupid but pretty funny movie with Jim Carrey and Tia Leoni as a husband and wife who end up going broke in a fast and hilarious fashion lol...and then turn to petty crime to make ends meet. I found myself laughing at this movie far, far more than I ever imagined I would. At The Movies with Byron will return after these important messages...
