You have great skin and I don't think you need any makeup at all. But if you're like me, you feel like you look tired if you don't have at least mascara on.

I still think you great without it.

Thanks but ew! Look at those veins! When I was in elementary school I'd get made fun of, people thought I had a black eye or smudged makeup! Concealer, mascara, lip gloss and a little blush are a must at all times.

They are there, trust me! I can cover them pretty well though.

I used to have TERRIBLE brows!!! I finally stopped my obsession of plucking and let them grow in. I have stencils that I use for when they start to get all frilly looking.

Everyday: sheer foundation, lip gloss, sometimes mascara (depends on where I'm going).

Going Out: above plus eye liner & shadow.

I'm getting bored w/ my look - never been a fan of blush but sometimes I feel like something is missing. I think I'll start wearing a hint of blush when I go out shrug

i'm very bored with my look.

I need a make over.

I never wear blush...that's just too much.

Some of them look worse with.

I'm not crazy about the way the makeup was applied in most of the scenarios lol But I do think most people tend to look better w/ some degree of makeup on smile

I agree with both of those statements.

Yeah, on some of those women, it's just overkill IMO. Like Robert Palmer girl make-up or something.

I love my make-up though, and God help anyone who tries to take it away from me. mad

What a lot of people (men mostly) dont realize though, is that when they say they like how women look "au naturale" they don't realize that a lot of those women ARE wearing make-up anyway. nod It's just done in that "nude-look" way so that it appeears as if that's the way they look when they wake up or something.* lol

Seriously, I think most women look better with some make-up on. Myself included of course. Otherwise it's Haggard City over here for me! disbelief

U know black people and makeup is a hard fit as it was not created for us....you ever see our people on television with bad makeup? Face and Neck TWO DIFFERENT COLORS.....horrible!!!

And a brown skinned woman in blush is abhorrently disgusting to me....where the fuck and how the fuck do your cheeks turn fucking red?? And then...and then.....why would you apply faux redness to your beautiful brown skin that DOES NOT TURN FUCKING RED!?

Because sometimes make up isn't about looking "natural" at all. No one has green eyelids or ruby red, shiny lips naturally either. lol
It's adornment. People have done it from our earliest tribal beginnings.

Blush is not supposed to make your cheeks look red (no matter what race you are), it's supposed to mimic the way people blush or get flushed when they are sexually arroused (just like lipstick).

Black people do not blush or get flushed?

Well shit, I don't blush either but @ what point do we not take it so literally & accept it as another enhancement? I mean, who's eyelashes grow 2 inches away from their lids? Who's lips naturally shine from a block away? Come on y'all, we're gonna limit darker skinned Black women from blush based on WHAT exactly? confused smile Makeup is art/expression/adornment, which kinda sends arbitrary "rules" out the window exclaim
