Though, you know with that crappy Olympus, and you have to actually get right up close yourself of course which is not good for some insect pics, you can focus as close as 3 cms. I'm looking at my macro options for the Nikon right now so that I can sell the Olympus to a friend. Some of the lenses are just way too expensive, and others are probably going to disappoint me though. Right now I'm doing the ol' stand back and zoom in technique, which doesn't go close at all really.
