I didn't like the original, so maybe this one will be better.

I wish folks would just try for once and capture the mood of King's books. It's like they capture the action sequences, the violence, and so forth, but fail to capture the immense psychological work that is going on in the characters.

Misery, The Dead Zone, and Delores Claiborne, were good though.

I never saw any of those movies.

I quit after the third Star Wars movie, which I guess was number 6 in the trilogy? I think it was called "The Empire Strikes Out" or something like that.

I was thisclose to buying "Graffiti Bridge" last week. I figured we could watch it during our 16-hour drive back home.

But I just couldn't do that to my family.

I'd even add to that list SHawshank Redemption, Stand By Me, and The Dark Half. The Shining is so not like the book, but I feel it's probably the best movie made from one of his books.

The LAST thing we need are remakes of those. I highly doubt anyone will ever touch them as remakes.

Parts of the original were filmed in my grandparent's hometown. I couldn't tell you which parts specifically though, because my parents wouldn't let my brother and me watch the movie when it came out. shrug

I quite liked Pet Sematary and Thinner, note that Stevie played small parts in both movies.

No, they'll never find someone to top the original Isaac & Malachai.....especially the "He wants you too, Malachi" scene. The special effects could use an upgrade though.
