Anyway...not your typical things to check out: Chicago Pizza & Ovengrinder...the BEST pizza in the city or burbs. Its on Clark Street & Willow. This isn't your typical Chicago style pizza. Its kinda like Pizza Pot Pie. It's the BEST pizza I have ever had. Totally differnt but damn! its so great. Gotta try the peasant bread as well. After try Clark Bar...which is across the street from Pizza & Ovengrinder. cool old time bar. If you tip well the bartender gives free shots. Also notorious for being next to the site where the St Valentines Massacure happened. Supposedly old time gangsters hung out here. Signature Room on top of Hancock Building...great date place. Very awesome views (esp in ladies room...trust me ; ) Wells Street...Old Town. Great resturaunts and pubs. Second City is here as is Zanies comedy club. Very cool neighbourhood. Rolling Stone Records in Norridge which is just outside the city limits on the northwest side. Its off Harlem Ave. the BEST record store ever. Abbey Pub in Rogers Park...great for live music. Western Ave...Beverly. Far Southwest side of the city. Southside St Patricks Day Parade. Great strip of pubs...hardcore Irish. Some of the best times I've had ever are in this part of the city. WOW! Thanks so much!!! I'm writing this down. I'm not mad at you, I'm mad at the dirt.

Congrats on the move! Chicago is a great city -- far and away the best city in the Midwest AFAIC. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

I was just in Chicago in early December for SES. It was my first time there as well. Really beautiful city. We ate at Mike Ditka's, and the food was incredible. They had a 33oz (yes, 33) steak on special, and the pot roast nachos kicked ass. Some guy was singing there that sounded JUST LIKE Frank Sinatra. Other than the bars in the Hilton, we went to some place called Skeeters - a dive bar, but alot of fun.
