My mood is rather gloomy. I had my worst evaluation at work in the 27 years I've worked there. My evaluation from co-workers was great, but I was reamed for my honest self-evaluation. The points are 0-2 (0, 1, 1.5, 2, as the highest rating) I gave myself a 10 for "consideration of others in the department" as I never call in sick and some staff consistantly call in.
Most don't even read the evalution paper work, which is archaic. One rating states: "adheres to budget constraints, balanced with patient safety". I wrote, patients always come 1st. Budget and patient safety shouldn't be in the same sentence! One new budget idea, is to send out-patients home, in paper scratchy gowns, instead of cloth gowns. I wrote, I'd like to see the CEO's wife go home in a paper gown. I was told I'm "negative" and my self eval was "unprofessional". I still got a bonus as I'm max'd on my hourly rate. I need to find another department to work in..... Sometimes, you have to tell management what they want to hear.

i need to get away or something what is wrong with me what is your mood today???? I hope you feel better . My mood is that I'm still sick, and I'll be so glad when this is over with. The fever, coughing, drainage, etc. is making me crazy! I blew my nose today, and started gagging and coughing because of all of the mucus in my head. Yuck! I think next time I'm around little kids who are sick, I'm wearing a face mask, seriously! I don't care how stupid it may look. I'm tired of being around sick little kids, and their germs being passed on to me. Those little kid germs seem to be more potent than adult germs. I can be in a room full of coughing, sneezing, wheezing adults, and never get sick. But put me in a room with a sick kid or two, and BAM! I catch what they have. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Really though, after a patient has surgery (they have to be cleared through finance and pay their deductable 1st) I'm going to give them a crappy paper gown, because their shirt or pants, won't fit over a cast???? How tacky. Sometimes management forgets why we're all there.....

There must be some company that has people brainstorming on how to word evalutions, so the employer always has an excuse to not give a raise..... Although in my case, it wasn't needed. I've been on committees. It takes months to research and develope policy changes/updates. It gets punted to an administrative committee then back. By the time it's all said and done, 6-8 months to get anything done.
