My mood is no better either. I have laryngitis now from this illness that I've had for the past couple of days. I'm drinking tea, hoping that maybe that will help my throat/congestion. [Edited 12/29/07 6:04am] What meds are you taking? Most infections are viruses and not treatable with antibiotics.... From my understanding, getting sick, once in a while, boosts your immune system. All those hand sanitisers and clean freaks, don't help themselves. Kinda like putting your kids in day care. Sure, they get flu bugs initially,but in the longrun they end up healthier and get less sick in grade school. | |

All those hand sanitisers and clean freaks, don't help themselves. Kinda like putting your kids in day care. Sure, they get flu bugs initially,but in the longrun they end up healthier and get less sick in grade school. Well, my doctor is treating for a sinus infection, since I told him that that's what I think I have. I'm currently taking amoxicillin (875 milligrams) twice a day, and using a nasal spray (Nasacort) twice a day. I think the doctor gave me the amoxicillin because my nose and throat are inflamed, and I had a fever for two days. Very unsual for me, since I don't get fevers too often. I don't get sick too often either, but when I'm around a sick little kid, I do. Go figure.  RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you. | |

Most people feel better after the 1st two doses of an antibiotic, IF it's bacterial and the antibiotic is working. | |

I have been prescribed antiobiotics in the past, due to my suspectibility to getting sinus infections. I've only had a couple of doses of antibiotic so far, and I'm hoping that I start to feel better tomorrow. If I don't feel better by Monday morning, I'm going back to the doctor again.
