Ex-Moderator | is there anything inherently wrong with becoming a reclusive, hermit-like shut-in? I'm just wondering. |

I don't leave the house anymore except for work and the occasional errand/shopping. I'm on my way to becoming a crazy cat lady, and I'm pretty sure I'm enjoying it. |

I don't know if there's anything wrong with it but I've been becoming one. I really need to get out of the house because it depresses me. Now on the other hand my best friend is always at home watching t.v. and she seems to be okay with it. At least that what it seems like. Moderator | Yes there is. People need people. In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |

I find these days I become incredibly relieved whenever I get home. Calm, relaxed and relieved. I often feel bothered if I have to leave again. |

Surely they do, but only occasionally, right? |

Especially when it's cold out. Right now I can't wait to get home and get all cozy in front of the t.v. Heaven! MyeternalgrattitudetoPhil&Val.Herman said "We want sweaty truckers at the truck stop! Nothing inherently wrong, but it is a major sign of some serious depression. Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it. |

Surely they do, but only occasionally, right? In all seriousness, maybe you are just tired. Working all the time and having to deal with the public ( you still work at Starbucks right? ) can make you feel like that. When I worked retail in college, I never wanted to go out at all. In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |

Nah. I know when I'm seriously depressed. That's when I can't leave the house. This is more of a choice. |

We use to have a hermit type lady on our block, she had like 4 cats and she had the aweful habit of feeding the pigeons! We would have a pigeon invasion every few hours when she would come out of her house to feed the pigeons. I think you are fine Carrie, just don't feed the pigeons.

Not Starbucks, but a little indie coffee shop, yes. I think adjusting to my new schedule is a big part of it, that's true. But it's been over a month now. |

I'm not fond of pigeons, so no worries about that one. |

I ask myself this question all the time. I don't mind being hermit-like but then I start to think about what other people think and I question whether I'm okay or not. Shake it til ya make it

sounds great, the less likely you will be to catch peoples seasonal colds and flus

yes, it's one thing to spend more time with self getting to know you... your wants, needs, desires and things like that to gain a clearer view of the directions you want to go in. but to become a reclusive/hermit like shut in is not a good thing.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
I think the more pertinent question here is, "Is there anything inherently wrong with going out?". I mean, why would anybody want to do that?

Sometimes I wonder if I could live like this, because I need solitude at times. Maybe it's because I've always lived with others.....never alone. So now I'm curious to just know what it's like. looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)
