how long is your day? (happy solstice) so as we approach winter solstice i am curious to know how many hours of daylight you have in your corner of the world.
(summer solstice for you southern hemisphere people ) it's also my 3/4 birthday so here is a handy link to help you figure it out. http://www.timeanddate.co...nrise.html ok so for my city: Dec 21, 2007 sunrise at 8:57 AM sunset at 4:56 PM total daylight hours 7h 59m 35s but it can only get better from here your turn! I guess the sun "officially" goes down after 10 p.m. at that time of year but in reality it just dips below the horizon while still offering enough light for it to pretty much feel like day, so by the time it officially rises at 3:30 it's already felt quite bright for a long time. It's spectacular but also completely vital for us since we're cheated out of our daylight for great parts of the year, and therefore desperately need to charge up our batteries. | |
