Why was the product on her clothes? How did it bleach their clothes?

She was wearing her bath robe as she was washing her face and some trickled on the collar.

If it doesn't work for you, go to your doc and ask about claris. It's 6 months of hell but it works...I just finished a round and it does work very well but there are a lot of side effects so I do hope you can find relief in Proactiv! Best of luck!

thanks for the luck!!

I just received the package in the mail and will try it out tonight. The directions tell you to use it at night for the first 3-5 days so that your skin gets use to the product and doesn't irritate it. Then you go to using it regularly.
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

That's probably from the benzoyl peroxide....usually acne treatment either use salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide to kill the bacteria that cause acne. Peroxide bleaches things....like clothes.....or hair. wink

after trying it for the first time last night, I saw a difference. When i woke up this morning my face was hardly oily. Most mornings my face is so oily you could fry chicken with it. Can't wait to use it again tonight. I just hope that my skin doesn't get irriated in the long run.
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Never tried it.

I get a few spots considering my age (26 years old) and did get quite a few as a teen. I think I'd probably have pretty clear skin if it weren't for the beer and cigarettes. shrug I just wash my face with this galangal and ginger soap I buy here and when I lay off the booze and fags it works a treat.

My friend ordered it while watchingthe ads on telly in the states.
I think the postage to Uk cost more than the product, but she hated the stuff.. it bleached her bedding, pillowcases and clothes.. it was just like puttingf pure bleach on your skin.. no wonder it can get rid of acne lol

Hey, if you need a quick fix for a pimple that's coming up or has come up and is still going strong (i.e. you haven't picked at it, but left it, but it's still standing proud and not going anywhere) then clean it with a white teabag and then put some Dettol antiseptic cream on it an hour or two before you sleep. Don't worry about amounts, just whack it on. It'll dry that sucker out (be precise with putting it on the spot) and it'll just end up like a kinda dry, kinda pimple-looking area (but not red) in the morning that doesn't look too bad. You can just put a little moisturizer on it. After a couple of days it'll be gone.

Oh, and if you've picked at the spot/pimple, you can use that steroid ointment folks use for ecsema (after thorough cleaning that is). It repairs the skin with the quickness, but don't use it too often as it does thin the skin.

U know I usually have really sensitive skin as far as my face goes, most things either make my skin oilier or in one case where I used hypo allergenic makeup, my face gets all red nad blotchy....but for some reason Proactiv works for me...and Im 38 this year and still have bad breakouts if I dont use it

While I'm here, use white teabags, or better yet loose white tea, with one of those cotton pads, to clean your face after work or if you've been out for a while and feel a bit grimey. It works brilliantly. Those anti-oxidants get directly into the skin straight away. woot!

Use green tea if you can't be bothered to find decent white tea, but white's better. smile

Interesting. But peroxide would only be found in whitening toothpastes (though stuff like Colgate doesn't use it right?) and booster gels. The whitening gel I have is 8% peroxide, which is fairly hefty for just a booster gel. Not sure I'll be putting it on my face anytime soon considering what it sometimes does to the colour of my gums. lol

It really works. I just make some loose white tea, drink most of it, and from time to time when I remember, save a little and put it in a shot glass. Cool that down, get a cotton pad, and voila! Feels great straight away and makes you feel and look fresh. It's so stupid how I (and people in general) will stress out about this stuff, and the expense of it, when really all anybody needs is lots of water, lots of sleep, and the odd extra little pick me up like the above.

Stick chilled black tea bags over your eyes too if you feel tired and have bags under your eyes. Just freeze 'em after you use them for your regular cups of tea then get 'em out and let them defrost for a little while whenever you think you might want to use them and lie down for 5 mins with them over your eyes. thumbs up!
