it's hard....Apollo, my dog i had for ten years died easter week of this year. i had his name tatooed on my arm when i got him, cuz he was a bad ass looking pit bull! the day after he died, i put 1997-2007 around his name on my arm. i went to the shelter and adopted a 1 year old pit/shepard mix that was found tied to a tree with a rope. i figured it was intended for me to have him since the people at the shelter named him Lewis, which is my last name ( i renamed him Diablo, because i swear he's the fucking devil with fur and cute face!). this dog is a ball of energy and can jump 6 feet straight into the air (trust me, he's jumped my 5 ft fence more than a few times). i kinda got used to the lazy lump that my older dog was, we were like an old married couple--not too much on the excitement side, but very comfortable. his death kinda set off the bad year i had (my dog (old age), a good friend (terminal cancer), grandmother (renal kidney failure) and mom (heart attack/renal failure) all died within four months of each other. but the one thing that my new dog has shown me is that life goes on, and a new pet can bring you joy like your old one, just in a different way. he chases leaves, rats, squirrels, paper..anything moving. and at sixty pounds, i usually get dragged along with him lol

.

good luck ...it's okay to cry cool

sad sad sad :sad2:OMG! I think that is THE worst thing I've heard... how... were you able to cope? I can't even begin to imagine the pain from your loss. My deepest condolences to you, life can be so hard at times, the fact that you can even bring your self to speak on all this loss says a lot about your resiliency. You are an inspiration rainbo

When I was a kid my Gerbil died. Crazy part is that I don't know how it died. I just went to go look into it's cage and it was lying there dead. neutral

I used to have gerbils as a kid. Every time one would die, I would cry like I lost my best friend. I love gerbils, they are really cute!

Yeah, it was pretty sad when mine died too. I didn't have it for long.
Some people think I'm kinda cute
But that don't compute when it comes 2 Y-O-U.

Our pet fish died recently, I don't know why. fish

This is sorta related- One of my cats just jumped up on the stove-top (the oven) and I didn't even know it was on...I went to grab her & move her back to the floor , and she must have stepped on a hot plate...she screamed like hell and jumped away! I was freaked out & scared at first but now I'm a bit sad 4 the cat...she must have burnt her paws! sad
eye wish U were here baby, on me--
Stuck like glue! heart
