Childbearing is a cakewalk compared to taking your first poop after having an epistemology(sp) and the stitches start to tear and also burn when you urinate.

I had three children, with each birth it became easier and the babies were all over 8lbs.

Always better to go natural if you can, your not a wreck afterwards, and why the hell do doctors think its ok to punch your gut to express blood out of the uterus when D&C's are performed as a routine precaution anyways? OUCH! THAT was THE most painful s**t of the entire experience!

biggrin Good baby making to all of you now! lol lol

Oh, ok...

In labor for 24 hours, finally had a C-section. C-Section somehow got infected and I was put on antibiotics, which gave me the worst case of rash I've ever had. Had to also pack the wound every day with gauze, also taking out the old with the new. To this day, I'm in pain every day because of what could possibly be scar tissue connected to my organs.

Yeah, so I'm only having one child. Don't know if I could do that again, even though woman are "supposed" to overlook the agony. confused

You do know that infections post c-section surgery is the main cause of mortality in childbirth? Scary.... glad to still have you here. Do you get severe pain when you menstruate as well?

omg thank you! You seem to get it. I take a lot of Ibuprofen daily, which probably isn't so great. Never heard of that supplement. I will have to look into that. I've gotten several different doctors perplexed. The last idea was cortisone shots. It really is a nightmare at times.

NO, NO NO! Cortisone shots are extremely painful, temporary and your body becomes tolerant after a while causing an awful cycle of the need for using harsher drugs.

I have a friend that suffers with endometriosis (sp) and she swears by Don-Quai, she says that its stopped her cramping all together.

I cancelled the first appointment, and never went back. I just deal with it for now, but I'm going to try your suggestion. hug

I remember my first post-baby poop. i had an episitomy too. my first poop went smoothly thanks to a steady intake of stool softeners. but i was so scared that when I was done, i was drenched in sweat.

They didn't give me stool softeners sad during my first poop you would have thought I was giving birth to another baby, 'cause I was doing all the breathing exercises I learned in Lamaze classes, I held my knees up and everything! Dang, and it was New Year's Eve and they were doing the count down, and my roommate busted in on me while I was on the john with my legs in the air,and my face all red... just AWFUL!

Fuckin' A. I had no idea about this "post baby pooping" thing. God, I'm so glad I was born with a penis. Women everywhere, you put up with a lot of pain to bring life into the world, and for that, my thanks goes out to you nod
Maybe we can go to the movies and cry together

Even with the horror stories, I feel jealous that I will not experience giving birth in this lifetime.

I was 10 days overdue with my first child before they induced labor...which really meant they put me on iv drip of a drug that made me have contractions constantly with enough time to take a deep breath in between before i thought i would die again. I had that for 10 hours before they did an emergency c-section because his heartrate kept dropping from the drugs.
I'm feelin kind of n-a-s-t-y
I might just take you home with me
