I recycle as much as I can. I don't litter and I get really irritated with people that do. I also try to recruit new recyclers. A friend of mine was bitching & moaning about how much garbage her household has. I told her that she can recycle most of the bulky stuff that takes up room in her garbage bag. She has since become a recycler. Even if she's only doing it to free up room, it's still a win in my book.  Shake it til ya make it  | |

I recycle. It's quite easy for me. All recyclables go in one bin (aluminum, glass and plastics all mixed together and everything), garbage in the other.
I turn off my lights when not in use. I only buy old, used cars with good gas mileage. I carpool and take public transportation when I can. I was once a member of the Sierra Club, but I'm not anymore... |

We all can do pretty simple stuff...
* I recycle organic and recyclable synthetic waste materials (My current city has made it policy) * I purposely left one of our two vehicles back home in the U.S. (if it were up to me, I'd have sold it), and we generally drive the other car only in emergencies or very short jaunts. I far more frequently use public transportation * I drink locally available water instead of bottled * I try to turn off lights and water when I'm not immediately using them * I've tried not to flush when I merely... uh... pee. But I'm having some psychological tension withthat one, I admit.  Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

1. I recycle paper and plastic. Moving towards GLASS and aliminum if I can find centers for that.
2. I'm buying canvas bags so I can use them instead of grocery bags 3. I work from home 3 days a week to cut down on gas 4. I've been hang drying my t-shirts and shorts 5. I swapped to "Seventh Generation Laundry Soap" which uses no phasphates or chemicals 6. I clean with only baking soda, Vinegar, and essential oils now whenver possible. 7. I've extended my salon visits from 3 weeks to 5 weeks to help out. | |
