I feel that cosmetic surgery is a direct result of the lack of communication in our shallow society, today.

See, when it comes a woman,(any woman, no matter what she looks like) I notice that when I let her do most of the talking i.e. when I just listen ( in other words, guys, when I just let her do most of the talking),
no matter what she looks like,
I can easily find myself starting to fall in love with her for who she is on the inside.
Plus, by the time she gets to the college years of her Illiadic life-story,
I'm usually so drunk off my ass, I'd do her & her pet ( usually it's a cat of which, based upon my experiences, many women tend to feel, necessitates it's own entire chapter during our "conversation").

Have you? Will you?
Under what circumstances?
If you can afford it? or would you especially save up for it?
Is it pre-planned? Something you WILL do in the future? Or is it something you have always wanted to have?

Are you in total disagreement with it all, and you believe you should be blessed with what you have naturally, and will age gracefully? Or do you believe there is no harm just correcting a few bits you aren't 100% happy with?

Have family members, friends, colleagues had surgery? Any good stories or horrors?
cool

I planned to have a breast lift and a tummy tuck, but I think I have changed my mind.
I keep hearing horror stories and after Kanye west's mom passing, I dont think its for me.

Id rather have my titties hang a county mile then to be 6 feet under (early).
Say it's just a dream...
U open up ur eyes and come 2 realize
u simply imagined this
So u lean over and give her a kiss
Here on earth, here on earth,
with u it's not so bad
Here on earth, here on earth
eye don't feel so sad
Stay right here

Yes, I've had plastic surgery, as I've mentioned before.
When 32, after I was done having children, and I bellydanced for a hobby, I had a tummy tuck. This was after trying sit ups for years, with no change. (The surgeon explained to me, the abdominal muscles separate and exercise doesn't put them back together.)
I had a facelift 4 years ago, to get rid of the jowls. All those years of running and pounding the pavement took it's toll. I always wear a tight jog bra, so the boobs are OK.
Never regreted it.

How was the recovery for the facelift? I'm just curious if you don't mind me asking. The tummy tuck? I have had abdominal surgery with an 8 inch cut, so I might sort of know that pain.

I'm sure the tummy tuck is a much larger cut though right?

Hokay! Here's the blow by blow: warning, not for the faint hearted.
For the tummy tuck, which was 20 years ago, I had a general anesthetic, and an overnight stay in the hospital. The surgeon made an incision where I had previous c-sections, straight across. It can also be a "V" for thong bikinis.
My abdominal muscles were sewn together, the skin pulled down and tightened, a new hole made for the umbilicus. The recovery was a good month as it took that long for me to stand up straight . My abdomen felt as though it was on "fire" when I woke up from the anesthetic because of the nerves being separated. It takes awhile for all the sensation to come back in the abdomen. It was worth it and I'd do it again.
For the face lift, the eye lift was nothing. The other part of the face lift involved incisions behind the ears. It's recommended you grow your hair longer if it's short, to hide the surgical site. Metal clamps were used, and they heat up, if you blow dry your hair. HA! They're removed within a week. Everything is pretty tight, and my surgeon recommended my resuming swimming in three weeks to help. I'm happy with the results. That was 5 years ago. lol
As far as explaining my changed look, I told everyone I was taking time off work for plastics. I did everything but announce it on the intercom....
