I said 28 DAYS later!!! so a while ago I was asked what I'd like as a birthday present, I said 28 Days Later (the zombie film inspired by dans armageddon threads) only to receive 28 Days, the Sandra Bullock drinking film.
Also one christmas I thought I was getting Terence Malicks The Thin Red Line but instead got The Thin Blue Line, Ben Eltons police comedy starring Rowan Atkinson. Sooooo have you ever bought/received the wrong gift for anyone?? | |

when I turned 16 I wanted a motorcycle so bad ... instead I received a pink (  ) ATB ...
For my girlfriend (now wife) I once bought a beautiful clock, only to learn that you shouldn't give clocks to Chinese people cuz they believe it is a sign that you're awaiting the time they will die or something. She almost launched it to my head  | |

I have received many wrong gifts from people. It's like they just don't know who I am!

I wonder how much extra cash 28 Days has brought in thanks to the zombie movie? Some smaller distributors even consciously try to capitalize on misunderstandings like that, and re-release an old B-Movie from way back at the same time as a new blockbuster with the same name hits the video rental market. So bloody sneaky.

I'm crap at buying presents...and when I do get it right something invariably goes wrong... 
...This year I ordered a present for a friend... 
...Yesterday , out of the blue, they ask me where they can get the very same thing ... so I had to own up
