i think i *tried* to watch the godfather movies a few years back but i kept getting bored and/or distracted, or maybe i was sick and fell asleep through it all. or wait, maybe i'm thinking of the lord of the rings movies. i'm not big on movies with lots of mafias and elves running around. i like more urbane fare like 'xanadu'.

lol I don't know about xanadu, but I've had the same experience trying to get through those movies.... just a big snoozefest.
In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular.

I always fall asleep on this too.
Remember the unemployed pianist that (Jane) Bette Davis hired? Well when his mother found out about him working for her, she told him stories about Jane trying to kill her sister. He didnt really believe her. So he went to the house to get his money and she wouldnt answer so he got the police. Eventually, they found Jane and her sister on the beach at the end. And then locked her up.

One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest
Jaws
The Shining

DUde, I had to rent that Fuck** just to see what it was about. Very hokey shmokey, but you should see it. If anly for the musical numbers which are really good in that Little Debbie Snack Cake kind of way.

I've never seen the Godfather movies and I really don't have any intention to.
I also had to skip the English Patient cause if one more person told me how wonderful it was I was going to kill someone or something. I'm sure it's a good movie, but after all I heard there was no way it would have lived up to expectation.

The only decent thing about the English Patient was the Dust storm.

I cannot watch the LOTR. I watched them in the theatre and that was IT. I recall saying to my partner after the 4th goodbye/ending that if there was one more I was going to scream. I got a dirty look. There were 2 more.

My friend keeps telling me about the Godfather..I am so not interested. He also like Stanly Kubrick and some of his stuff, I'm like "meh".

I've seen Jaws 2--go figure. confused

The ones on that list I actually want to see are Cuckoo's Nest and Citizen Kane. I might be persuaded to also watch Casablanca. The rest I really have no interest in seeing.
